Collas, our captivating new ground floor suite, gets its name from a prestigious Corfu family, whose descendants include both a Mayor and member of Parliament and one of Corfu’s eminent Architects and Town Planners.
Named from Corfu born Architect John D. Collas (1901-1993), son of Demetrios Collas, the then (1899-1911) Mayor of Corfu. John Collas studied in Milan and Rome Architecture and Town planning graduating in 1926, and was for many years after the War head of Corfu’s Town Planning department. After he retired, in the ‘60ies, he opened his own private office in this place, while the family apartment was and still is on the 3rd floor. He had inherited his mother’s artistic talent and had himself a fine hand in sketching and painting, and also was a first-class photographer.

The suite has a small fridge, coffee machine and natural “Apivita” products in the bathroom. Delicious breakfasts available in one of the Liston cafés on your doorstep.Faliraki, one of the oldest public bathing spots, is minutes away and is a fantastic place to swim or have a drink. The Collas suite can also be taken in conjunction with both the Lear and Merchant suites should your family and/or guests want to be in the same beautifully located building.
