National Gallery (Kato Korakiana)

The Corfu Branch of the National Gallery, inaugurated in 1993, is in Kato Korakiana, about 10 kms north from the town. It is housed in two adjoining historical buildings, the Castellino and the Casteletto. Its permanent collection follows the development of neo-hellenic painting, dating from the first meta-byzantine years to paintings and sculptures of the last decade. Periodic exhibitions and events are also taking place in the premises, as well as daily educational programs for all school levels.
