Museum
Housed in one of the most impressive neo-classical buildings in Athens, the house of the Benaki family, was converted into a museum in order to exhibit the donors’, Andonis Benakis and his three sisters’, private collections of unique items of Hellenic culture from prehistory to our times in a complete chronological show. Among the exhibits we should note the beautiful traditional costumes from all over Greece. Periodical exhibitions on special historical and cultural interest are also held in its premises, as well as in its other branches in Athens, The Piraeus street Branch and the Museum of Muslim Art.
