The Kapodistria Museum

The Kapodistria Museum, housed in a typical Corfiot country house near the village of Evropouli, offers a well documented outlook on the history of Greece in the 19th century, through the permanent exhibition of documents and personal heirlooms belonging to the Corfiot diplomat and politician John Kapodistrias, the first Governor of Greece after its liberation from four centuries of dire domination by the Turks. The family estate, called Koukouritsa, lies on a wooded garden offering stunning views of the countryside around it.
