The Duomo, Roman Catholic Cathedral

On Guilford street, the eastern side of the San Giacomo Town Hall’s square, the Roman Catholic Cathedral  -(“Duomo” by its local name)  is dedicated to Saint Jacob the Apostle and Saint Christopher. Built-in the 16th century during the Venetian era, it was demolished in 1943 during the German bombings with only part of the external walls standing. Restored after the War, its stone façade is typical of the Italian style.
